About the OMD Steering Committee
Older Michiganians Day (OMD) is organized by a group of organizations committed to
advocating on behalf on the needs and interests of older adults in Michigan. The Committee is
responsible for planning the annual OMD event in Lansing, producing an annual advocacy
platform which contains a call for legislative actions, and producing an annual report card that
rates the achievements of the Governor and Legislature in accomplishing recommended
actions. The OMD Steering Committee includes four subcommittees which work on Logistics,
Stakeholder Engagement, Communications, and Evaluation.
